CAPUCHIN LITANY OF OUR LADY
This Litany is from our Capuchin heritage, and has been used by Friars from the earliest times [see ROUND TABLE Vol XII, No2, Feb 1947].
I have added an additional two titles - Virgin Made Church from the writings of Francis [Sal BVM 1:1] [see GREYFRIARS REVIEW Vol13,No1,1999] and Mother of the Divine Shepherd which has its origins in Spain around the 1700’s [see ROUND TABLE Vol XII No4 June 1947]. Br Hugo de Maria (Maltese Province] assisted with the translations, and the References after each title. It can be seen from this that our early Friars knew their Scriptures. Let us pray: Grant, we beseech you, Lord God, that we your servants, may enjoy lasting health of mind and body, and through the glorious intercession of the Blessed Mary, ever-Virgin, be delivered from present sorrows and enter into the joy of eternal gladness. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen
